Our corporate responsibility

Prudential uses long-term thinking to create long-term value. Through our strong financial performance and international strategy, we create financial benefits for our shareholders and investors and deliver economic and social benefits for the communities in which we operate.

Corporate responsibility is fundamental to how we do business. If we act responsibly across all aspects of our operations, Prudential will make a strong social and environmental contribution, as well as deliver a sustainable financial performance.

We believe that corporate responsibility is best managed on the ground by those closest to customers and local stakeholders. Underpinning this approach are our four guiding principles. These provide clarity to our businesses on where they should focus their CR efforts and resources in the context of their individual markets.

What we aim to achieve

We want to create a positive legacy from all of our business activities, across the world, through active engagement and responsible business practices.

In all the markets in which we work, we try to help create more sustainable, resilient communities.

Each of our businesses not only provides funding to charitable organisations but also harnesses the local knowledge of our employees. Last year 7,350 people across the Prudential Group gave up their time to help in their communities.
